Use a slow release fertilizer
Apply a slow release fertilizer
*most of our plant arrives with slow release fertilizer (those green or purple small balls) so you should wait until the next feeding season (spring or fall) to fertilize with new fertilizer. Or you risk chemical-burning your plant.
Water thoroughly every 10 to 14 days
Check the first 1-2 inches of the soil across different spots of the soil and water when it feels DRY! In an average indoor environment, it should take 10-14 days for the soil to dry out, but that is dependent on your environment, so check the soil every now and then. If you're not sure if the soil feels dry, wait it out or reach out to us!
WHEN YOU WATER- water THOROUGHLY. For this size, watering thoroughly looks like running a hose across the soil for a good 5 minutes with occasionally stops in between to allow water to soak through.
We are here to help you care for the plants

Details About This Plant:
Coming from a huge family of succulents, the echeveria 'Bittersweet' succulent is native to the mountain ranges of Central America and South America. With its reddish-pink lettuce-looking leaves, and contrasting bright green inner core, it is sure to draw attention in your household! If your pets are interested in it as well, don't be alarmed, it is a non-toxic, pet friendly plant!
Being that it's from a temperate environment, it thrives in low humidity, bright to direct light, low moisture levels in its soiland will grow up to 6 - 8 inches indoors. This makes them great for placement on a well-lit desktop, windowsill, countertop, bookcase or cubby in your home. If given proper light and love, they will produce a long, leggy stem with flowers! Over time this plant may lose some of its "petals", but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle and you can easily propagate yourself a new echeveria with the pieces that fell off!
Now that you're an expert with the Echeveria Bittersweet, order this plant by 7PM est to get this plant shipped out of our greenhouse in New Jersey tomorrow (if you are wondering the arrival time, check with the zipcode validator on top of the Add To Cart). Seriously, our plant shipping solution is truly protective and innovative to ensure your plants arrive safe and intact! In case you were still wondering, we WILL send out the EXACT plant that you picked out, just like that of a local nursery or garden center, except we have more and fresher plants to choose from and you can't find our PAFE fine ceramic planter options anywhere else other than our website :)
