Benjamin oh sweet Benjamin, the Ficus Benjaminas are a plant for the pro plant parents! That was a little over the board, but the Benjaminas are seriously one of the harder plants to care for because of their natural tendency to shed leaves in a new environment and new plant parent's tendency to freak out when that happens (don't worry, I was one of them too).
But other than that, the Benjaminas are one of the most beautiful plants to add to your room, they have a natural weeping structure, and their leaves naturally grows into a crinkle shape giving the plant an elegant feel to it.
Lighting
The Benjaminas will thrive indoors when given enough light, so make sure you have a bright spot for this plant if you want to get it, any spot that's bright enough for you to read a book or brighter would be ideal for this plant! And when you have a full healthy Benjamina, you can show it off to your plant friends that said you couldn't keep this plant alive!
Watering
Benjamins take water when the first inch or two of the soil are dry. They like to stay moist but not super wet. They are the few types of plants that won't do well with the drought and water method because then they'll just shed all their leaves.
So monitor the dryness of the first inch or two of the soil. Water only when it's dry across a few spots of the soil. When you water, give the bejamins a thorough watering.
I wouldn't be surprised if you came here trying to resuscitate a benjamin ficus, if you are though, be sure to read our robust ficus care guide (coming soon)

HUGE, Fully Grown, Beautiful Plants. Without The HUGE Price Tag
Lots of online plant shops that offers "big plants" cut corners and end up delivering medium-sized plants, squished into boxes that are too small.
At Pafe, we pride ourselves on delivering fully grown plants–literally 7-10 feet tall and up to 6 feet wide. They're packaged with plenty of space, so they don’t get damaged.
That’s why our pricing reflects the true value of what you’re getting—unlike competitors who leave you with underwhelming, undersized plants.
Still unsure? Book a call for a personal, live, virtual tour of our greenhouse, and see the stunning giants for yourself!
