Oh how exciting is it to grow your own Cinnamon at home?! The Cinnamon Plant is native to Vietnam, Indonesia and other tropical Southeast Asian countries. With its bushy, bright evergreen leaves and aromatic leaves and bark, the Cinnamon Plant will make a statement as well as keep your space smelling sweet! You can also harvest cinnamon eventually!
Lighting
Keep in indirect bright light, that's a spot that is bright enough for you to read a book. Cinnamons come from a tropical environment so just be sure that you can actually read a book without the lights on instead of cheating yourself for a Cinnamon plant :) I get it, but still.
Watering
Water when the first couple inches of the soil is dry, that should take a couple weeks to achieve (depending on your indoor environment and the seasonalities).
When you water, don't be stingy, make sure to water thoroughly. That's a continuous 2-3 minutes of watering across the soil, sing a little will you?
Growth habits
Over time this plant may lose some leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle. If it starts dropping them like crazy, then it's a cause for concern!
